Awards

The RCA Awards Program pays tribute to the most accomplished, deserving professionals in the food product development industry. Through the various awards presented, RCA encourages excellence among its membership and the industry.

Nominations are due by December 12, 2008, and will be presented at the Annual Luncheon in Dallas.

President’s Award

Is awarded at the discretion of the RCA president, to members whose contributions to the association or industry have made a significant impact.

Lifetime Achievement Award

Is awarded to an individual who has achieved industry-wide recognition, if not mainstream recognition, for their lifetime achievements in Culinology. Must have significantly influenced the food industry and/or the consumer market through their career. Nominee must be a veteran in the food industry for at least 25 years, and should be generally recognized as being an inspiration to others in the industry.

Pioneer Award

Is awarded to an individual who has, through their own achievements, become recognized as a leader in the food industry utilizing the practice of combining culinary craftsmanship and food science (applied the discipline/concept of Culinology) for at least 10 years. Nominee’s influence must be apparent throughout the food industry, including in education and standard practices.

Student Culinology® Competition Award

A first, second, and third prize are awarded to student teams who compete onsite at the Annual Conference to create winning menu items that demonstrate Culinology. Read more about the competition.

Culinology® Poster Presentation Award

Awards are presented to winners of the Culinology Poster Presentations in various categories, to those who have submitted the top poster presentations for that year. Read more about the presentations.

Culinology Expo Product Award

Attendees of the Culinology Expo vote on their favorite exhibitor product at the Culinology Expo, and the winning company is presented with this award.
